Kate Horn, CPA

President & Owner

Kate is the owner of The Accounting Nook, PLLC. She is a certified public accountant with over a decade of experience in the field. She holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, a Master's Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. She is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.

Kate began her career at Ernst & Young, one of the world's leading accounting and consulting firms. There, she gained valuable experience working with a wide range of clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. She developed a deep understanding of the financial challenges that businesses face and the strategies they can implement to overcome them.

Throughout her career, Kate has worked for large, international corporations and small businesses. She has dedicated her life to helping companies reach their full potential through sound financial management. Her experience working for both large and small businesses has exposed her to a variety of financial challenges. She is committed to providing her clients with personalized attention and responsive service. She takes the time to understand each client's unique needs and develops customized solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. Through these experiences, she developed the skills needed to provide expert advice in areas such as tax planning, financial forecasting, and regulatory compliance. It is her mission to help organizations of all sizes and individuals achieve success.

Mark - Tax Manager

As Tax Manager at The Accounting Nook, Mark leads our tax department with deep expertise, strategic insight, and a strong commitment to client service. With over a decade of experience in income tax preparation and a broad background in finance and lending, Mark is a key leader within our firm.

Mark is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally licensed tax professional authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Prior to joining The Accounting Nook, Mark held various leadership roles in the consumer finance industry and tax firms. His background includes extensive experience in sub-prime lending, automobile finance and insurance, credit life and health insurance, auto warranties, collections, and both consumer and real estate loans. This diverse experience allows him to navigate complex financial and tax matters with insight, accuracy, and confidence.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from East Central State University in Ada, Oklahoma. He is highly skilled in decision-making, problem-solving, compliance, negotiations, and client communication. Known for his hands-on leadership style, Mark is proactive, thoughtful, and consistently focused on doing what’s best for clients and the team.

His long-standing commitment to excellence, combined with his approachable nature and broad financial knowledge, makes him an invaluable resource for clients and a steady, respected presence at the heart of our firm.

On - Accounting Manager

Detail-oriented, dependable, and focused, On brings a strong blend of technical accounting expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to The Accounting Nook. With a professional background in both banking and private company accounting, she understands the importance of accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication in financial management.

On earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wichita State University and is highly skilled in financial statement preparation, cash flow management, inventory control, and account reconciliation. She thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines with ease, and takes pride in delivering work that clients can rely on.

As Accounting Manager, On plays a key role in maintaining the high standards our firm is known for. Her dedication to quality, paired with her approachable nature, makes her an invaluable part of our team and a trusted resource for the clients we serve.
